What we do
Across the globe, way too many people face the burden of stigma related to a physical condition that prevent them from fully embracing life. Sadly, they feel that it affects their self-esteem and their daily life. Often to such an extent that they are socially restricted. At Riemann, we encourage everyone to embrace their body with all its perfection and imperfections. While we strive to make life easier for those who currently are held back.
Why we do it
It is our passion to identify the unsolved needs and to take them seriously. We take ownership of understanding every detail of the problem and its solution. Our products exceed regulatory requirements and performance expectations. And we know why, as we develop, formulate, blend, produce, test, and sell them ourselves. We are proud of our reputation of excellence, offering premium skin care products that work. Not a lot of them, but the very few that truly solve the problem.
Our mission
It’s more ambitious than it may sound. The investment in research and development of proven effective skin care products is vast. But we cannot do it any other way. It is in our genes. Our heritage obliges us, as our founder put his family’s economy at stake to help the people he loved with functional products. Solutions that finally enabled them to work and live out their dreams in balance with their body.
The Perspirex history
Claus Riemann, the founder of Riemann A/S introduced the product today known as Perspirex, in 1979. Claus’ sister was suffering from hyperhidrosis on her feet, and he wanted to help her solve her problem by developing an extra-effective antiperspirant. Hence Perspirex was launched as an antiperspirant giving extra protection for people with special sweat control needs. Perspirex has since developed into a true market-leading niche brand with sales in almost 50 markets worldwide; with a strong-hold in Europe and a retail distribution covering pharmacies, drugstores, and grocery stores.
Riemann A/S was purchased by Orkla in 2017, the leading branded consumer goods company in the Nordics. Today, Riemann A/S aims to be the preferred problem solver within functional skin care. We manufacture and sell millions of units of antiperspirants per year, all out of the production plant in Denmark. We are located in Hilleroed, Denmark with 60+ employees.
