The doctor-recommended active ingredient for excessive sweating
The doctor-recommended first line of treatment for people with excessive sweating is the use of extra-effective antiperspirants, containing the active ingredient Aluminum Chloride. This is the same active ingredient as used in all Perspirex products. It is clinically proven to reduce perspiration and control odour, and it works by forming a temporary gel plug within the sweat ducts. This prevents sweat from reaching the skin’s surface, helping to keep underarms, feet, and hands dry and removing the bacteria’s food source that causes odour. The gel plug is naturally dispelled within 3-5 days as your skin naturally sheds old cells.
The first line of treatment for people suffering from excessive sweating is Alumnium Chloride.
How Aluminum Chloride stops sweat
1. Aluminum Chloride forms a temporary gel plug when it comes into contact with water and protein in the sweat duct.
2. The gel plug is naturally dispelled within 3-5 days as your skin naturally sheds old cells.
Active skin care system to minimise the risk of skin irritation
The active ingredient Aluminum Chloride is highly effective against high levels of sweat. However, the ingredient can cause local skin irritation, especially if the product is applied incorrectly. Therefore, Perspirex has added a skin care system to the Comfort, Original, Men Regular, and Hand variants, helping to balance pH levels and reduce redness and irritation.

The Perspirex comfort skin care system includes the soothing agent Biosaccharide Gum1, which activates cell renewal and reinforces the quality of the skin barrier, and thereby limits irritation and discomfort. This also makes it a good choice for first-time users.
Perspirex active skin care system
Perspirex Original, Perspirex Men Regular, and Perspirex Hand are all formulated with an active skin care system, based on Calcium Lactate, which minimises the risk of potential skin irritation by balancing the low pH.
